Set on 33 acres near the Russian River in Sonoma County, Cazadero's programs take place in a lush forest under an umbrella of spectacular redwood trees. Campers spend their days working a carefully calibrated program that strikes a balance between intense music education and carefree summer camp recreation and fun. Offerings include band, orchestra, and jazz ensemble along with piano and classical guitar. Sports - basketball, volleyball, swimming, ping pong, softball - arts and crafts, or shopping at the Camp Store are all part of the fun during free time. While the sun is setting there may be a campfire, a concert, an all camp dance, or an evening of skits to wind down before bed. Over the past half-century, Cazadero has welcomed thousands of young musicians to its unique campsite in Sonoma County. A summer at Caz is a chance to create long-term friendships, an appreciation of natural beauty, and a lifelong love of music. Caz magic has lasted for generations; come on up and make some magic of your own. It's going to be another great Caz summer. Announcing 2009 Camp Dates
