Campers attend Cazadero Summer Music Camp for one or two week sessions based on grade level and musical experience. Use this page to help you decide which session is right for your camper. Your session fee includes all activities, meals, a camp t-shirt, camp photo and a concert highlights recording. An early payment discount is available for families who pay in full before Dec. 31, 2024. A 10% sibling or multi-session discount and a Bring-a-Buddy Refund are available.

Session guidelines to help you choose the best session for your camper.
- Young Musicians: (Students must have at least one year experience on their instrument unless registered in World Beat where no previous experience is required.) In this session young musicians develop ensemble skills through participation in String Orchestra, Concert Band, and All-Camp Choir. A Piano Program is also offered. Jazz Ensemble is offered as an elective. Students must have at least one year of musical training, notational reading skills and be able to play one-octave scales on their instruments. Predominant age group: 10-12 yrs.
- Middle School: (Two years experience, 1 or 2 week session) Students with at least two years of instruction on their primary instrument further their ensemble skills through participation in chamber groups, Orchestra, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble and All-Camp Choir. A Guitar Program and Piano Program are available. Students in this session have the option of coming for one week or two. Predominant age group: 11-13 yrs
- Junior High: (Three years experience, 2 week session) Musicians aspiring to reach a higher skill level enjoy this session. They should have at least three years of musical training or the equivalent, notational reading skills, and sufficient technique to perform one to three-octave scales on their instruments. Students may participate in Orchestra, Concert Band, and Jazz Ensemble. Guitar and Piano Programs are also available. Predominant age group: 13-14 yrs
- High School: (Four years experience, 2 week session) Accomplished players can stretch the limits of their ability in Orchestra, Concert Band and Jazz Ensemble. Musicians should have at least four years of musical training or the equivalent and be able to perform two to three-octave major, minor and chromatic scales and arpeggios on their instrument. Guitar and Piano Programs are also available. Predominant age group: 14-16 yrs
